Yeah, I suspect that's going to be true here too. If I only had one set of laundry, I'd put it in, but then I have three loads following it. (we only have three washers and three dryers), so I have to decide how bitchy I want to be about making her wait for the dryers.

I just got to see a demonstration of why my front license plate is somewhat concave. People who use the bump method of parallel parking really need to learn to do it gently.

I did that to someone by accident a few weeks ago. Oopsie.
It happens. But gentler would be better.
My car surged. (It did not escalate.)
Random mutterings:
Of course it looks like rain will be falling when I leave work. The umbrella is in the car.
Does the walk to your right side pedestrian convention apply in countries that drive on the left?
Did it augment (to use Condi's term)?

Well, in the UK, you stand on the right-hand side of the escalator to allow people to walk up the left-hand side.
Not the walk vs stand thing, though it might be indicative. The "I'm going down a heavily travelled hallway and someone is approaching me and we avoid collision by moving to our respective right sides of the hallway. Most of the time, anyway."
So here's what happened.
I figured I should bake something to warm up my apartment. I had that weird phillo dough crap in my freezer (I forget why) and some apples.
I took out the dough, let it thaw for a bit while getting laundry done.
SO I chopped up the apples, squeezed some lemon on them, spinkled in brown sugar and cinnamon, a bit of vanilla, and a pinch of nutmeg.
Then I went to unroll the phillo dough stuff, and it was loaded with sheets of paper which I kept peeling off and throwing away. Then I realized that was the actual dough.
So I folded the paperdough into oragami tart shapes, and went to stuff it in cupcake tins...and realized the tins were rusty.
So I put the paper cupcake thingies in the tins, they squished the oragamidough into them the best I could, filled with the apple mixture, put a quarter of a pat of butter on each, and now I'm sitting here hoping something edible, if not disasterous, comes out of the oven in about a half hour.
