Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Grrrr. The pilot light wont stay lit and so I've been freezing. I called the Gas Company, and they can't send anyone for two weeks.

This seems dangerous. Shouldn't they send someone out to check for a gas leak?

Happy Birthday msbelle.

Also, I think I might have African Sleeping Sickness. I am so sleepy. And as I was posting this, my old boss just came by and said hi to me. I do not know why she is here, as she works on another campus and she came from a door that cannot be opened from the outside.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The pilot light wont stay lit and so I've been freezing.

On some furnaces you have to hold some gas valve thingie open for a minute after you light the pilot light.

Also, if the pilot light is not lit, the furnace will not leak gas if it's functioning correctly.

In fact, these two things are related.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Don't worry megan, there are two more hours of 24 on tonight.

The second half of the "four-hour" pilot right? Will they be repeating them on the weekend like previous seasons?

I'm getting spoiled by ABC and NBC--Fox doesn't seem to have last night's episode to watch on its website. Should I just read the whitefont? Is that enough to catch up the story so far?

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

It will stay lit after I let go of the gas valve ater holding it open for a minute, it's when I turn it from "PILOT" to "ON" that it will go out after a minute.

So I can huddle around the pilot light for the little warmth, but that seems ill advised.

Art Crawl!!!

I don't know if Fox is going to be repeating episodes of 24. It is the next two hours of the premiere.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

If you go into Spoilers, posts 1731-1746 are about the first two hours of the new season.

(Discussion of hours 3-4 start at post 1747, so unless you don't mind being spoiled, scroll carefully.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

she came from a door that cannot be opened from the outside.

What did she say to you, Sophia? Exactly what did she say??? It will be important in the upcoming battle between good and evil.

Allyson--this is your gas oven that's the problem? I know the question sounds dense, but the gas people should be a little more eager to come fix stuff even if it isn't your apartment's heat that's fucked.

As for things and their accomplishedness, I can't but feel I should have learnt a new language by now, or be ready to swim the English Channel. I haven't even managed to do groceries for days, despite have left the house.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

My boss says the thermocouple is bad. That's the sensor thing that detects whether the pilot light is lit. The furnace will cut off the gas to the pilot light if the thermocouple does not sense that the pilot light is lit.

What is even happening?

Shouldn't the landlord have to hire a plumber? Plumbers work on natural gas related thingamabobs.
