Corwood, sorry about the damage. My block floods a lot since we're right on the river. I don't think my landlord was very happy when I insisted on a washer/dryer (which by default had to go in the basement). I hope your repairs aren't too bad.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Woke up, was going to shower, brush teeth, do dishes, make coffee, make bacon & eggs.

Water's out.

FUCK.

ETA: whole block is out; water main break. Chelsea!!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

That sucks, Corwood and bon bon.

NO MORE BAD TODAY.

I decree it.

That's a nice phrase to read when hearing about flooding. Glad it's just a hassle and not a catastrophe.

I am feeling itchy like I want to go do ... something but it's still damn cold here. I forget that because of the whole inside with heat *and* insulation thing but it is. Enough that the ground be iced. I don't drive around ice. I am not good at it / used to it. Wish there was a way to shut up the toddler running around in my brain wanting to go oooooout.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Grey Goose was the winner of CI's vodka tasting, but to be fair, they weren't drinking it. (They were making penne alla vodka.)

I remember another cooking magazine ran a vodka taste test, and were surprised at how well Smirnoff performed. I can't remember which magazine it was, or whether they were tasting it straight or in mixed drinks.

I like Ketel One. It goes well with the extra olives I like in my martinis.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OK. Here's what we do: Corwood, you take your extra water and ship it to bon bon, STAT.

I'm pretty sure it was the NYTimes, and I think they may have attributed it at least somewhat to nostalgia.

Our wings are not tired.

Ick Corwood, I hope there is minimal damage. Cleaning up after flooding can be a smelly awful job.

Too much water, no water. Not good either way.

I'm a big old misty pile of mush over the boys being found in Missouri. Good news is such a lovely thing.

Jesse beat me to the suggestion.

I missed the window to take my car in for emission inspection today. Or, more accurately, I'm still not dressed, so I'll be missing the window.

Lunch, then IKEA.
