Now you can luxuriate in a nice jail cell, but if your hand touches metal, I swear by my pretty flowered bonnet, I will end you.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I did get that e-mail, tommyrot.

So, tomorrow evening. Is 7ish okay or would people rather eat earlier?

Saturday at 7 is good for me. I don't really have a preference on a restaurant because I haven't eaten at any of them, but Mt. Everest and Viceroy sound good.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I have to stay non-commital, I'm afraid - I might have people in town tomorrow. But I'll keep up with the details in case I can break free.

You could bring them, brenda. We aren't all that scary.

Shall we go with this? 7pm Saturday (tomorrow) at Viceroy of India.

If anyone wants to take the train up to Granville or Loyola, I could drive you from there. Just let me know.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Oh, I just called Miriam - she wants to go too.

I'm in! And looking at the menu now!

Ooh! That would rock. And if your cell # hasn't changed, I still have it programmed in my phone.

Someone made a list of every single BBC story on hamsters over the last ten or so years. There's quite a lot: [link]

This is the best headline: "Fat Hamster Cheats Vacuum Death." Most are just odd: "Bus company apologizes for charging hamster 10p for ride; issues lifetime bus pass." "New hamster escapes in car, runs up £370 repair bill by gnawing ignition cables."

eta: This is good too: "Apparently deceased hamster revives; gnaws hole in coffin, tunnels out of grave, and finds its way home."

It's still the same.

Hooray, Miriam. If we can get a rough count, I'll try to call in a reservation tomorrow.
