Zoe: Planet's coming up a mite fast. Wash: That's just cause, I'm going down too quick. Likely crash and kill us all. Mal: Well, that happens, let me know.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Once you soldier your way through their questions, and ask if you have any questions for them, I've had good experiences with "What are the major challenges I'll face working here?" and "What is your favorite part of working here?"

Those are good ones. I'll add them to the list.

So, apparently placement agencies are chomping at the bit to work with me, even if companies aren't. I just got a message from another one while I was in the shower. I tried calling back and got voicemail. Oh well, something to worry about another day. I left a message and told them to contact me next week, as I will be away from the phone the rest of the day. Still, it's a nice little ego boost.

I'm definitely some form of ill (need to make sure I medicate before I leave for the interview), but I'll chalk most of the ook up to nerves at the moment.

Thanks for being supportive, guys. I really appreciate it.

And I'm off.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

NO, I can't make mashed potatoes without whipping cream.

Yeah, you can. More. Butter.

Or yogurt. Or sour cream. Dairy it up!

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I just wish I knew how much of me feeling ill was nerves, and how much was actually illness

I found job hunting was much more tireing than actual work, There is a huge amount of effort in trying to show yourself at your best - even if all you were doing was looking at on line ads. EVen to get my new job ( which starts on the 30th) - which I sort of applied for on a whim - was hard. I didn't really care if I didn't get the job - my field is pretty competative in this area - and I am happy with my current (soon to be ex) job. But before every interview there was a lot of that 'isn't this a waste of time and wouldn't staying home be better....' feeling. So I am guessing you'll feel better after the interview - or at least will feel better the next day.

I also find I do better if I'm not sure I wan the job. My brain works smarter and I remember that part of what I want is a job that suits me. I got better at saying my current job is boring and I could be doing more, but I am in a tiny little box and they won't let me out, without actually insulting my current job.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I had the weirdest dream last night that Burrell had another baby, and I kidnapped it and put it in a crumpled Rite-Aid bag, but then I freaked out and returned the baby, but Burrell found out it was me because I left a receipt in the Rite-Aid bag.

In my dreams, I am an evil kidnapper! The fuck!

Among my open windows, I currently have both SilverJewelryClub and SilverJewelry (same thing, different stuff, found it on accident last night looking for the first one). You guys are such enablers (but the earrings were so pretty!)

Heh. I had a dream about you last night. Actually I was just hearing your voice as I was waking up. You sounded very Allysonian. You were snarking about something.

I'm in the middle of a three-way escalation tango with a printer in PennTransylvania what needs exorcising.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I just got back from having pot roast and mashed potatoes for lunch. I don't think you can get pot roast for DINNER in most places in LA, let alone for lunch. God bless the freezing Midwest and its need for comfort food.
