I don't know about you guys, but I've had it with super-strong little women who aren't me.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Dita is purty.
Kat is smrt.

And, you know, not blind.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Hey, I just realized I get a three day weekend. How many other people get MLK Jr. day off (other than Jesse, I mean), and what are people doing this weekend?

Jesse - Jan 12, 2007 6:24:24 am PST #2274 of 10001
Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, that's right, some places consider MLK Day a real holiday. It's times like this I miss working for the post office, because a federal holiday is a federal holiday.

Here in nonprofitland, I've always gotten MLK Day off, and never Columbus Day.

I'm planning on seeing some people, and going to the movies with at least one of them.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

I have it off. I'm not doing anything fun, though. It's kind of a "get shit done" weekend.

What is even happening?

how does evan rachel wood figure into this?

Her moral center is chock full of Trumpy goodness?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I have the opposite of off. I work MLKJRDAY but no one will show up. The school will be closed, the youth center will be lacksadaisical and it's probably going to be snowing. Which will either mean we get no one or we get ten thousand kids, none of whom actually want to learn to play instruments.

We don't get Columbus Day off working with Native American kids, 'cause, duh. Kind of a loss, that one.

But then, I've been working all break so it doesn't really feel like I'm getting back on the horse.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I used to get MLK day off - back when I worked at a progressive mail-order place, and then at two different banks. But not so much since I took my programming job.

This weekend I'm going to build a sonic death ray. OK, actually a thingie that uses an ultrasonic range finder to build a picture of what's in front of it. I guess you'd call it a sonar camera.

I do! I'm planning to possibly get Indian food with the Chicagoistas, do laundry, buy new shoes as current black pair of boots need trashing, make cookies or cupcakes, and a big pot of miso soup, and write.

And maybe read a book.
