Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

I've remained pristine. I fear the links and have learned my lesson much earlier.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I feel like the world's biggest baby. It's not that I'm having intense pain like sent me to the ER last week. It's just so damned persistent, and everytime I think I have a break, I do something stupid like call Time Warner Cable and get lied to, and then the migraine is back.

I just want my Sci Fi channel to be #37 in my listing. Is that so much to ask?

Oh, and the migraines to stop. That would also be nice.

What is even happening?

Oh geez ita, this is crazy. I missed that you'd gone to the ER. You are so far from the world's biggest baby. I look at you (and Betsy) and tremble. Chronic pain eats away at a person.

ita staying in bed because of excrutiating pain is not being a baby.

I know my saying it doesn't do a damn thing to make you feel better, but ita, you are not being a baby. You are doing as best you can (and possibly better,) and unfortunately, I fully recognize that's not what you want, because pain SUCKS.

Tomorrow's GA?

Re-run of tonight's at 8 pm tomorrow.

The garnet's a little orange-y for my taste, but the rubies are the perfect red

My garnet was nice and deep, the colour I like it. I'm not a big lover/owner of the faceted stones, but they seem to bother me less as I grow older.

I don't want to be in bed. I want to be having a life. I don't want to be reaching for more muscle relaxants. I want to be doing kettlebell. I don't want to be waffling on begging a friend to deliver macchiatos--I want to be heading out to dinner with them instead.

At least hopefully the cable crap is fixed.

Am I the only one who's noticed that Colbert's new word in the opening credits is... FREEM ??1? Huh?

The TWoP thread has been debating this--someone thought it was an abbreviation of "freedom," but someone else pointed out an interesting news item from a few weeks ago. Apparently, somewhere in NJ, a black bear was threatening the populance, and was killed by a Sgt. Freem. If that's where the word comes from, I love it!!
