Cass, were you drinking it for its health benefits or because it tastes good? It doesn't make the milk tea unhealthy. It makes it not as healthy as it was.
Cause it's yummery! Good point.
Curse Fox News for telling me not to drink it that way when I want to drink it that way. They're not my real dad!
Milk goes in tea. Not cream, not lemon.
Whoa, channelled my English grandma for a moment there.
hee
I was waiting for the firestorm of posts on how we all drink tea.
I drink rather a lot of green tea, but I don't like the taste of it, so I mix it with an herbal tea and/or put in a lot of sugar or stevia. Stevia is my sweetener of choice lately.
Cold tea must have lemon. Or raspberries.
My neighbor grows mint that she shares with me and I love putting that in iced tea in the summer.
I like milk in my tea--it cuts the bitter of the tannins. Screw Fox and their stupid news.
When I was a wee one my mother would put a bit of tea in my milk so I would feel like a big girl.
So I've watched a few minutes of People's Choice Awards. Justin cracked me up. But 10 minutes of tv is all I get today. But it was a fun few minutes.
Green tea should be drunk plain.
Sugar and milk in the other caffeinated stuff.
Herbal tea: plain or possibly with honey.
sometimes if the green tea is nast or has a weird aftertaste, like the one I had from The Coffee Bean last week, then I add milk and sugar and anything else to mask the taste.
But I like my tea plain. Ditto for my iced tea.
oh iced tea. how I miss you so.

I am enamored with the jasmine green tea. Plain green tea is a bit too old sweat sock for general quaffing. The jasmine works lovely though for me.

I'm going to have to steal some land to do this once it stops being bitterly cold.
I like tea steeped to within an inch of its life, extra strong, and sweet. I use Equal, though.
I've actually never tried milk in tea, but it just doesn't appeal to me. And I definitely wouldn't put it in green tea.
I have a thing about lemon, though. I hate lemon, and it also gives me a sore throat. I'm forever asking waitresses for iced tea and diet soda with no lemon, please.
