Jessica,

I use Ibank, which I like. It is not free.

I like the concept of Mint, but (a) I'm still leery of keeping all my financial info online, and (b) I keep thinking it would be a good idea to try one of those things and then going "oh please, would I really keep it up??"

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I love Mint. There's really not a lot of upkeep to it, and it is neat (if sometimes painful) to see how things break out over time.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

OK, trying to help a friend set up a LJ account, and for the life of me, I'm confused. It appears I can only get the friends page to show the 10 most recent posts to the groups she has subscribed to. My personal LJ there is a "previous x posts" to click, to go back a page in time. I can't find where to enable that option for her. Most frustrating. Any ideas?

in the meantime, I'll keep digging through LJ.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Change to a different style?

ya, that's what I ended up doing. I copied the s1 settings I have on mine. Oh well. I thought all the styles had that feature.

Art Crawl!!!

Help.

I am still dealing with the bad battery on my home computer so this weekend I decided to crack it open to figure out what sort of battery it is. (I've got a Dell PC desktop.) And I couldn't get it open so I put everything back together and then tried to log on - I've lost my modem!

What are my options?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Wider-Screen Kindle Coming Wednesday

It went from a New York Times murmur on Sunday to a press release and 99% confirmation this morning: Amazon will be rolling out a bigger, wider Kindle Reader, supposedly tailored for easier newspaper and magazine reading. The announcement comes Wednesday, most likely, but the question is whether more screen space would make readers more likely to subscribe to the Times, the Journal, and other publications.

The status is NOT quo.

Nah, I love my Kindle 2! It's the perfect size for me.
