When you look back at this, in the three seconds it'll take you to turn to dust, I think you'll find the mistake was touching my stuff.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Change to a different style?

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

ya, that's what I ended up doing. I copied the s1 settings I have on mine. Oh well. I thought all the styles had that feature.

Art Crawl!!!

Help.

I am still dealing with the bad battery on my home computer so this weekend I decided to crack it open to figure out what sort of battery it is. (I've got a Dell PC desktop.) And I couldn't get it open so I put everything back together and then tried to log on - I've lost my modem!

What are my options?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Wider-Screen Kindle Coming Wednesday

It went from a New York Times murmur on Sunday to a press release and 99% confirmation this morning: Amazon will be rolling out a bigger, wider Kindle Reader, supposedly tailored for easier newspaper and magazine reading. The announcement comes Wednesday, most likely, but the question is whether more screen space would make readers more likely to subscribe to the Times, the Journal, and other publications.

People who bought the Kindle 2 are going to be pissed.

The status is NOT quo.

Nah, I love my Kindle 2! It's the perfect size for me.

Compassionately intolerant

My wordpress is trying to melt my brain with frustration.

I know I've whined about this before, but I've scoured forums and suspect that a simple solution is...well...simply eluding me.

The new and improved media process is a complete fail as far as I can tell.

In the good old days, there was an 'upload' option on each editing page window. No longer. (I've been warned to NOT upgrade to 2.7.1 so I suspect I'm running 2.6)

I have 20 or so pdfs in the media library and all I want to do is link to them in various pages.

It should be simple, but I just can't figure it out.

How do I attach a pdf document stored in the media library to a link on a page?

Please, I'm desperate!

Thanks Deena.

Wow. I had crawled all over that dialog box about 50 times with no luck. Finally, I clicked on image url, not realizing the program provides the url where it looked like I should have supplied it myself.

Old system? Made of win.

This version? Made of suck.

I'm insenting the other thing you mentioned as soon as I dig it up.

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

Do people have any favoured survey websites/subscriptions/whatevers?

My church has been using Survey Monkey, but is wondering if we could be paying less. The surveys need to be confidential (not posted for any random person to see, and results not necessarily visible to respondants).

I could use some tips from someone who's actually tried out some different sites.
