A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I switched from McAfee to AVG Free last year and have never looked back.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I hate McAfee - when it's running my work computer is not very usable. It runs on bootup, and I pretty much have to wait until it's done every morning.

We're getting new work computers with a different antivirus program soon - can't wait....

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I just switched to Avast because I'd heard bad things about the latest version of AVG.

We hired consultants to help us buy and set up our computers. They say that the antivirus software they recommend changes every month or so, as things change so fast in that industry (both on the virus side and antivirus side).

I forget what they're recommending at the moment.

All is well that ends in pizza.

The full suite from either Avast or AVG can lock down things a bit too tight.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Hey, Facebook folks. I seem to remember reading about some option where you could choose what kind of updates that you saw in your status. I love my friends, but I don't really care what president they are. Is there anyway to limit updates to just status, not quizzes and random crap?

Our wings are not tired.

Vortex, yes. If it's just certain applications that you don't want to see, when someone posts one, hover the mouse over the box of their post, in the upper right hand corner. You'll see an x. You are usually given the option of hiding everything from that user, or just hiding that particular application. Note that not all quizzes are applications, so it might not work for all.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Microsoft said on Thursday that a nearly-final version of its next-generation Windows 7 operating system will be publicly released on May 5.

...

Windows XP holdouts are being told they will have to upgrade to Vista to make a transition to Windows 7.

"Windows 7 shows significant promise," Forrester Research analyst Ben Gray wrote in an independent report on the operating system. "Start preparing for it now, and the best way to prepare for Windows 7 is by deploying Windows Vista."

WTF??? In other words, you have to buy Vista so you can buy Windows 7?

Coding and Sleeping

That seems whack. I'm skeptical it will really work that way.

There have been rumors that there won't be an easy upgrade from XP to Windows 7.

Still, way to piss off large numbers of your customer base if that's so....
