And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Awesome, thanks. (Hopefully that's something IT just has lying around, because I'm pretty sure they won't want to spend any money on this...)

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Has anyone done any work designing web pages optimized for the iPod Touch/iPhone?

I've got no specific pixel sizes on the pages. Everything uses percentages or, in a few cases, ems. I've got an html form that's sized to be readable. When selecting a form element like a dropdown box, the box magnifies (which is good). But after selection, the box only de-magnifies part way. The page stays slightly magnified and the only way to see the entire width of the page is to do the finger squeeze or double tap twice.

Anyone have any idea why this would happen and how to fix it?

All is well that ends in pizza.

I need convincing, folks.

I have been slowly cleaning my basement of old computers, sending some 20+ carcasses to the recyclers.

Now I'm stumped.

I own an old Macintosh II CPU. Should I recycle it?

It's not a IIvx or a IIci or any of the later modifications.

It has the original ST-277N hard drive and the original NUBUS video card.

I need to convince myself it's the right thing to do.

Help!

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

See if the Smithsonian wants it?

Coding and Sleeping

I still have my Atari 400. That's probably not helpful.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Yeah, so do I, I think. But it isn't a 40-pound rectangular box.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I got rid of my Commodore 64 and I regretted it! It even had a good home with a geek and was being used to teach BASIC programming. But I was sad!

It's possible you're in the wrong thread for decluttering tech toys. We loves our computer carcasses, yes we do.

But yeah, you should probably recycle it. Are you going to use it? If not, it's just taking up space you could probably use.

Our wings are not tired

I still have my ColecoVision. There are days I regret getting rid of my Apple //GS and the boxes of around 1000 floppy disks that went with it.
