Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Et voila! Thanks a bunch.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I can't believe I had to understand specificity to make that work.

Ah, well. I'll probably forget it in a couple seconds.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Help! My Aspire One will not start windows. This morning it was stuck on (with an alarm going off because I used an online alarm clock), and I had to shut it down manually. When I turned it on again, it went to that screen where you can start from the last known good settings or in various safe modes. I have tried them all. The first just goes back to the starting screen, and the safe mode runs through a whole lot of files and then stops.

This computer has no CD drive...

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Commodore 64 reincarnated in laptop form

The build uses a genuine 'C64C' motherboard, along with a gamecube power supply and SD card doing its best floppy disk impersonation. But I'm guessing that vintage keyboard feel is the best part!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

That is AWESOME. I kind of want one!

So Apple sent me an e-mail, being a MobileMe subscriber, offering me $30 off a Time Capsule, and $30 off Leopard. I'm tempted. Then I see that I could get a refurbed Time Capsule that is $40 off. And now I'm wondering, what apps I would need to upgrade to work in 10.5.x, and how much that would cost.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

And now I'm wondering, what apps I would need to upgrade to work in 10.5.x, and how much that would cost.

I didn't have anything that worked in 10.4 and didn't work in 10.5 (it tends to go the other way, that apps won't work on an *earlier* version) -- but if you have anything that's both expensive and work-critical, you should obviously check carefully first.

Ya, I realize the bulk of what I do on my home machine is: Internet, chat, Skype, EyeTV, videos, iTunes, e-mail. When the HD crashed last year, I didn't re-install the work apps, as I have a laptop provided from work. So, I've been thinking about it. It's just money. Do I *need* to upgrade? Or should I save the cash to try and get that trike?
