MMS = multimedia. iPhones can text, but only...text. No pics. (There is a fairly seamless integration between the camera app and the email app, but that's only helpful if the person you're sending the pic to is at their computer. You can send pictures directly to other phones.)

Free for iPhone users, $9.95 for the iPod Touch. Not until this summer. Some of the functionality (like MMS) won't be on the original 2G iPhone.
My coworker has a couple of iPhones in her office right now that we're going to auction off for charity, and I just got scared that they aren't the new ones, but apparently they ARE. Fancy.
I wants it now. But not enough to pay for the dev membership.
Grrr.... Don't want to wait until summer, but I'm glad they've fixed the two main problems I have with the iPhone.
