My computers were named after then-current astronomical phenomena: Hale-Bopp and Leonid. I'm holding off on renaming my new-to-me laptop, because I'll probably reformat it with Ubuntu, as soon as I find the MS Office software serial number (so I can reinstall it). I suspect that those discs are in boxes my sister took home to MI with her, so that won't happen until June. Hmmm. I wonder what comets or whatnot will be swinging by this June?

Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
My computers and hard drives are all named after physicists. By first name.
Oooh! Look at the pretty!
Lenovo Pocket Yoga netbook is slick and small
As smartphones are getting more and more like laptops, laptops are getting smaller and smaller, like phones. Where will they meet? Maybe somewhere near the new Lenovo Pocket Yoga netbook, one of the tiniest little laptops I've ever seen.
There's not much info on this sexy little devil yet, but it looks to have a nice wide screen that can be flipped around and act as a touchscreen tablet, and it's very close to being small enough to fit in a pocket comfortably, but not quite. It looks slick and is sure to be expensive, as is the way with things moving towards the space between two types of device.
Wow, that's almost big enough to be useful for someone who can type. (How do people use those tiny little keyboards?)
Bummer.
My computers are LotR.
Simpsons/Life in Hell characters.
Batman-related locations (Batcave, Titans Tower).
Buffy related - Desktop (now departed) was Giles, laptop is Ripper.
My wife's Sansa Clip arrived last night. It is a tiny thing, with it's little screen and little click wheel it looks like a regular sized MP3 player that got shrunk in the wash.
