Do you need a whole DVD or could you convert video to avi? It would take up a heckuva lot less space if it is just 1 video you need as opposed to a true dvd with extras/subtitles, etc.

then, I think you should compress the video some if it is allowed. It would take up a whole lot less space and would be easier to download and stream.

Well...huh. According to the math I just did, the disc image method would take 217 business days.
Encoding to QT would take 700.
Eep.
(This is assuming my co-worker and I have 2 person-hours a day each to do this, which is optimistic given our current workload. Did I mention EEP?)
