Hey, iPhone users, I want to back up the contacts in my phone. If I sync with an empty Outlook folder, will it overwrite the phone with nothing or put the contacts in the folder. Is there somewhere in the options that I can choose which is the master?

Recommendations for laptop...cooling things? Ideally, I'd rather not have one that plugs into the USB port to pull power, but I will happily look at anything that works well.
Someone needs to invent a laptop cooling rig that uses kinetic energy for fans. Maybe four fans with flip-out keys you can wind up the springs and flip back into the case.
Vortex, I'm not sure, but there are some great iPhone forums that could probably answer that question. I will try to track one down in the morning.
grr. My MacBook is not wanting to turn on the Airport. When I try, it just sits in spinny land. And the logo in the menu bar stays highlighted. I have an appointment at the Genius Bar tomorrow, but that doesn't help today. Any thoughts? It has been a little wonky with start and shutdown. Wonky as in, takes forever. This is a 4 month old MacBook (not shiny new non-firewire one) running 10.5.5.
Damn. I tried to find the answer for you and failed, Vortex. Let me poke ND. I bet he knows.

How peculiar. My Mac lost the network printer in the middle of me printing single pages from my browser. I hunted through applications and found out that it was trying to print to a 169.x.y.z IP address instead of the 192.168.a.b one. I went into the Printer Setup Utility and the Show Info option and typed in the right IP address and it started working again.
Bwuhuh? Anyone know if I did something wrong to make it get lost in the first place?
I'm also having Mac printer issues. I upgraded to Leopard and now I can't print. I've installed the new drivers and the weird thing is that the printer thinks it's printing just fine (showing completed jobs, etc), but nothing's actually happening.
It may just be that I need to reboot the Airport Express I'm using as a print server.
Okay, so my mom's wireless router doesn't go through the whole house, it just reaches as far as the kitchen. I think that we need to buy a better router, so what is the number that I am looking for to determine the strength of the signal?
