"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

brenda, I believe that's a function of firefox 3. Just go to History and "recently closed tabs" and you can select the one you want.

Although I love Duplicate Tab which allows me to merge tabs/windows and move a tab to a new window.

lori, can't help you with that one.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

brenda, I believe that's a function of firefox 3. Just go to History and "recently closed tabs" and you can select the one you want.

Or you can just right-click on the tab bar and then select "Undo close tab." (That'll re-open the last one closed....)

Does this seem like a good deal?

HP Pavilion Slimline AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 5200+ 2.7GHz Computer (S3400F) - Refurb 3 Gig of RAM, 500 Gig.

Also, since I've been living in dial-up land so long, I have no idea what I need in terms of connectivity. I am finally going to upgrade to highspeed DSL, but I would also like to network my TiVo with my computer. (The Wireless TiVo thingy came free with TiVo purchase) So if I buy a computer with integrated WiFi, I also need a router, right? (Seriously, I know nothing.) Do I really need intergrated WiFi?

Yes you will need a router, it's a good idea just for the sake of security. The computer doesn't need WiFi if you can plug it into the router with a cable, wireless and wired will all be on the same network.

The computer seems like a pretty reasonable price to me, but I haven't been shopping anytime recently.

Yes, you need a router. I think that integrated wifi just means that the mechanism is part of the computer as opposed to a card that you plug in to a slot. It's worth it to not have to be bothered with the card sticking out, IMHO

Once you have the router set up, it's really easy to set up the tivo. It looks for the signal, asks for the password, beeps a few times, and you're set.

oh, also. Any ideas how to open a Word 2007 doc if you're stuck with Word 2003? My mother sent me something, and despite my trying to talk her through the "save as", it's not getting through. Ideas?
