Every planet has its own weird customs. About a year before we met, I spent six weeks on a moon where the principal form of recreation was juggling geese. My hand to God. Baby geese. Goslings. They were juggled.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

You need version 4.3 of Google Earth for that.

So, in the continuing saga of my printing woes --

Nothing I downloaded from the Brother site was able to help. I was able to kind of get printing going again by completely reinstalling the print software from the original CD (which doesn't work either, and requires an update to function). I installed the update, which requires a direct USB connection to see the printer and finish.

I was then able to print directly off the USB, but as soon as I unplugged and tried to print over the airport, printing failed again.

The firmware update is unable to see the printer, no matter what.

There's also a remote connect program, a print control center, and a dashboard ink level widget that I downloaded a while ago, and none of them have ever been able to see printer, no matter what.

This is unbelievably irritating. My printer that I was mostly happy with up until now is almost useless.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Have you checked to see if your firewall got turned on/enhanced by the update?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

My Firefox context menu (right-click) has inexplicably gained arrows at the top and bottom, as if it wants to scroll.

Anyone experienced this and know what's causing it and how to make it go away?

ARGH. The tip of my headphone jack just broke off inside my MacPro. Any ideas on how to get it out? I have a paper clip...

The first thing to try is open up the MacPro and see if it's accessible from the inside.
