I get a kick out of his link to his 2004 post on the iPhone where he says
Russell Beattie has been indulging in some fantasizing about the direction in which Apple might be heading with his blog post about the the "iphone".
I think he's dead wrong. The key thing about the sucess of the iPod, which I'm sure is clear to Steve Jobs, is that Apple broke into (invented) a totally new market and became the dominant player with a high margin product. The mobile phone market is anything but new, in fact, it's totally saturated and margins are vanishing thin. On top of this, his suggestion of "...a small version of OSX" is unfortunately totally off the wall.
Oh, as usual, dear.
Free (Windows) licensed software download of the day today is [link] Xilisoft Dvd Ripper Ultimate.
is...? is...?!
t on edit
Oh sure, edit and make me look silly.
heh. I made a code mistake and the board cut it all out. I had to recreate it.
I've been looking for a DVD ripper, thanks!
I thought someone had asked about one. I was just too lazy to go copy and paste your post.
Or, apparently, to even bother referencing it.
Gronk is mighty today...
Thank you for enabling my budding urge to become a vidder.
A note: The "rubbing alcohol on Q-tip" method of cleaning keybards seems remarkably less safe on Macbooks than on iBooks/MacBook Pros. I assume this is because of the chiclet keyboards. Discovery of this fact may soon cost me several hundred dollars, as liquid damage is decidedly NOT covered.
I would replace the top plate myself, but that would void the warranty on my month-old laptop. Sigh.
I'm looking for a graphic of a tape measure or ruler with obviously unequal units to convey the idea of imprecise measurement humorously. No joy with google images. Thoughts? Thanks.
