Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

All,

I have a macbook pro through work and I cannot get it to connect to my home wireless network (linksys router, WPA Personal security). Can anyone recommend some help for me? I've googled, but I can't solve the problem.

As I mentioned earlier, the site well and truly sucks. I'm guessing that when they decided to set it up, their VAR asked "Do you need any help installing Windows?", and they said, "Nah, we've got plenty of folks on the payroll who can install windows."

Clearly the Home Depot web site is run by the same people who are so averse to giving help in the store.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

LeN, does the macbook see the network? Have you connected and OS X box to this network before?

ita, thanks for the comment. I'm an idiot. I didn't realize that the macbook has two different MAC ids. I didn't realize that airport had its own!

So once I got that squared away, all was well.

Best kind of tech problems, those.

Anyone here shoot pictures in RAW format? If so, do you process them with anything other than your primary image editing software (Photoshop, or equivalent)? Why?

It's occurred to me that shooting in RAW might help with getting good balance for conversion to black and white, but I don't know where to go with that idea from there.

Our wings are not tired

I do some shooting in RAW and I use Aperture for my processing.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I shoot both RAW and JPG concurrently, and archive both, but I rarely even look at the RAWs. When I do it's in Photoshop. I also have Olympus's RAW tools package, but I haven't installed it.

What is RAW?
