If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

If you click on the device icon so it shows you the loaded playlist, you should be able to rearrange things pretty easily.

Thank you, tommyrot! It will be really helpful if I can come back to this guy with, "Meeting cancellations are known to blah blah blah when do de do do." instead of "I have no idea how that happened!"

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

ND, I posted this in music, but I figure you'd be interested: tommyrot "Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach" Apr 16, 2008 12:10:01 pm PDT

Looks pretty amazing. I'll have to pick up Melodyne when it comes out with the new version.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Sometimes my mom tells me crazy things because she works for a cable operator. She sent me this note about TiVo, which I was planning to buy in the lifetime deal:

Do not buy a new TV or TIVO box until later this year. The latest technology called Tru2Way needs to be included in order to have it talk to all your devices. I do not think it is on sale until November.

Anyone know anything offhand about this?

What if I don't need my Tivo to talk to all my devices? I only need it to talk to my cable and my tv...

This was my first google hit: Tivo to develop next generation tru2Way Set-tops, screws the cable company

After checking a couple sites, this makes the most sense:

Comcast makes TiVo-driven DVRs official

Comcast today took the wraps off of its long-anticipated DVR with TiVo service, giving users the custom interface normally reserved for TiVo boxes to digital video recorders provided for Comcast's cable TV network. The extension allows users to not only search for, record, and play shows with the TiVo front end (including HD shows) but also to use it for Comcast-specific functions. Through a technology dubbed tru2way, subscribers can search for movies on demand through the same interface as for regular programming. TV shows will also play uninterrupted while users check the schedule.

Prices are not yet public, though the feature is expected to cost slightly more than existing cable service and will require that the customer have a Motorola DVR, though Scientific Atlanta boxes will also support the TiVo update in the near future. The service is so far deployed only in Boston but should be available in additional cities before the end of 2008.
