omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Laga, I should be done by like 3ish. I'll buzz ya. No need to reward me. Your presence is more than enough.

Our wings are not tired

I could most likely help out on the tech side too.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Okay, the Verizon store in Brooklyn is awesome - they replaced my phone for $50 (the standard out of warranty repair fee), so I now have a shiny new Treo 700p that's just like my old one only it, um, works. Yay!

Compassionately intolerant

I'm having a kumbaya moment reading the LAistas banding together in tech-support. It's a beautiful thing to see.

You all need to plan a synchronized vacation in DC. I'll make a chocolate cake that will make you say MaMa! And in your sugar stupor, you could help me get my technical act together. Doesn't that sound like fun?

In the meanwhile, congrats Laga. You will love the shuffle once omnis whips it into shape.

Yay Jessica! Congrats on the less painful option coming through.

So what are people's recommendations for external hard drives? And where to find the best deals?

I've had good experiences with Western Digital and LaCie drives - I think LaCie are slightly cheaper these days, but I could be wrong. Dealnews.com should have links to sales.

Oh good. I thought I'd heard people making fun of it for it's extreme minimalism.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Sean, I like Western Digital for the most part - I have/had 3 passport drives. One of the drives got fucked up, but the other 2 have been going strong.
