Sir? I think you have a problem with your brain being missing.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I haven't upgraded. I am always wary of the upgrade. I remember upgrading my window media player, and losing the ability to listen to internet radio. I tried to uninstall the new version and put the old one back on, but it wouldn't let me.

Hey. New board.

I upgraded, too. We'll see if it crashes less for me.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Firefox, Beta 5:

I'm missing my home icon. It was taken away in earlier betas, relegated to a personal toolbar item, now they removed the toolbar item.

I had to drag my homepage link to my personal toolbar. I can rename it "home" but still? I'm not sure why they decided I don't need it.

There must be a setting, somewhere...

Hey. New board.

It's still in my bookmarks bar...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

From what I can tell, Jon (cursory examination only), the more recent version of Thunderbird can achieve deletion from the POP server if you have it set to delete from server when you move messages out of your inbox (not just to trash--to any other folder)--but then you can't keep it in your inbox folder on your local machine.

I'm going to keep looking. It's frustrating to have it be a filter option, but not an option you can exercise using the menu.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Thanks for checking, ita! Sadly, that still doesn't meet my needs.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I might be able to make that work, but I will keep poking around.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

What's the best website to upload a file larger than 500 MB? Has anyone used WOOfiles? TransferBigFiles looks good too, but they only host the file for 5 days or 20 downloads.

Oh wait, I've seen people use Up-File before. How's that one? Are any of these as agonizingly slow as MegaUpload?

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I got an ipod shuffle from work for Christmas and I have no idea what to do with it. Can I upload files from a PC? I feel like such a clueless dork when it come to apple products.

edit: after browsing itunes... Do I basically have to pay 99 cents for every song I want to listen to with this device?

reedit- OK I visited a band's website where I knew they had some free MP3s. I could download them and according to my computer they are on the device... now do I have to wait 4 hours for the thing to finish charging and the green light to come on before I can play them? Or will it only play downloads from itunes?

edit edit edit: Yes the thing came with an "owners manual" but it's sparse and assumes I'll be downloading songs for 99 cents each from itunes

Hey. New board.

What's the best website to upload a file larger than 500 MB?

I would use my own webspace, if it's not something I expected hundreds of people to download.
