Hey. New board.

I wonder if this is part of the reason Firefox 3 seems faster?

Might be part of it. It also seems to use more native frontend code: it feels more like a Mac program, which is partially theming, but dialogs and such are obviously native now. They've always been native in Camino.

Anyone have any recommendations for printers?

I have a cheap Brother laser printer that I got for under $100 that I like just fine. But then, I never ever need to print color or much of anything at all.

Do you still get WiFi on the bus to work?

I ride the public bus, and the WiFi is hit or miss. Mostly, as I'm sort of in writer's block land, I'm liking not having to bring my laptop on the bus with me.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Firefox 3 beta 3 is coming out soon.

Hey. New board.

Beta 3 is already out. Do you maybe mean version 4 is coming out soon, or did I just give you a new toy?

All is well that ends in pizza.

Must have been 4.

February 27, 2008 (Computerworld) For the second time in the past four weeks, Mozilla Corp. has announced a "code freeze" for a beta version of Firefox 3.0 -- this time, Beta 4 -- as it prepares another public release of the open-source browser.

The freeze was announced late Tuesday. By midday Wednesday, however, Mozilla was saying that a fifth beta might be necessary.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Beta 4 contains the code which makes it much faster on Mac OSX, IIRC. Unless you're using the nightly builds, in which case you've got the code in place.

They've rewritten the Javascript processor and fixed a load of memory leaks. It's much nicer.

Hey. New board.

Wow. I'm using Beta 3 and it feels very fast compared to previous builds. Can't wait for Beta 4 to blow my mind even more!

I'm contemplating getting my first cell phone.
Connie, I have a Razr from AT&T just sitting here. Since I got the iPhone, I don't need it. I think its locked to AT&T. If your hubby is AT&T, add you in a family plan. Just needs a new SIM chip. I have the "travel" charger and the car 12v charger plus a little belt carry case.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

I have a Brother multi-function printer that cost about $100.00, and the quality of the scans and the printing is much better than my Canon, which was judged by someone who ought to know the best little printer of its year the year it came out, and a year later was found to have faulty print heads. Replacing the ink on the Brother cost almost $100.00, though. I always forget to check the cost of replacement ink when I'm shopping for a printer.
