Can I do it with more than one library?

I can't think of a reason it shouldn't work. I know I borrowed some music from a friend into my existing library that way too.
well, it's too late to do it tonight. I'll do it tomorrow.
O gosh Vortex. Sorry to tease. When I d/l'd it the other morning, I could have sworn I saw Linux & Windows links.
I've docked my iPod before in another Mac, it just transfered all the music and movies automatically.
Man iPod's are a hassle. How on earth did they get to be so popular?
Because, for one thing, most everything else was worse.
And it's not a hassle for most things. I've successfully plugged mine into two separate computers and downloaded the music from the pod to computers.

Huh? Okay, Sony fucked up big time with the early digital walkmans but I'm not sure what else could be called "worse". I've got a couple of MP3 players and they were just drag and drop like USB memory sticks. Nowadays, I just use my Nokia 6085 mobile phone as an MP3 player and it plays music just fine and is also a simple drag and drop.

but we're not talking about macs, so this doesn't help
Vortex, I used instructions like the ones you linked to earlier, and it worked pretty well. I think I lost a few songs, and some songs lost their metadata (they showed up in iTune with a four letter code for an name.) Also, it doesn't transfer over your playlists, just the songs.
