Ginger, I wonder if comcast is screwing with your domain. I did not receive you email at may profile. I'm going to try sending to you from gmail.
[Update] No not Comcast. Same bounce from gmail. Can you send me email from another account, cause I still have not got anything from you either. Your email is two initials at a commercial domain for web and print editing, yes?
This is very odd.
(edited to remove e-mail address)
OK insent. If this has become too big a pain for you, I'll understand if you want to forget it. Have you tried sending to yourself using your [redacted]? (On the assumption that the email problem is of more concern to you than giving me advice free in a field you normally charge for.)
(I'll delete the email address in a few, which might also want to do for the [redacted] address.)
I know it's possible to use javascript to create a button, for example, that adds something to favorites in a browser. So in IE, this simulates the user clicking Ctrl+D.
Is it possible to do the same thing to pull up a search box (CTRL-F)? Yes, we have slightly dim clients.
Apparently this is how you do it for Firefox: [link]
Nobody here has an Apple TV, do they? I was going to put a Mini in my living room, but part of what it would be housing would be torrented TV shows. Can I put an Apple TV into that scenario?
I'm also trying to work out how to house the music. I currently have my entire collection on my main PC, and that's where I sync my iPods to. If I had the mini in the living room I could move the library there and sync them there...
Man, could my diamond shoes pinch much tighter?
I got it, TB, and I'm going back and delete my e-mail now. I'll get back with you tomorrow. Right now I'm just back from the dentist and have no brane.
eta: I'm glad to be alerted that there might be a problem with that e-mail. I'm just moaning a little because I'm the one who will have to fix it.
Ah, there was the search term I was missing. "Find in page."
Can I put an Apple TV into that scenario?
It involves taking the AppleTV apart with a putty knife to get at the drive, but yes: [link]

FrontRow (at least the version that comes in Leopard) lets you remotely access other computers' iTunes libraries. AppleTV can also.
Wow. Thanks, Tom. My choices just got a bit more interesting.
