Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I need help with my iPod. I'm in tears here, seriously.

My sister gave me a Nano for my birthday and I've been trying to get it to work. First, it didn't like Panther, so I upgraded my sad little G3 iMac to Tiger. But, everytime I plug the iPod in, I get the registration page, only it won't display correctly on my screen. I only get part of it, some of the page appears to be below my screen and I can't move the window up or shrink it. Also, the graphic won't appear, just a note saying I need QuickTime and a tiff reading program. Then, there is no scroll bar or anyway to see any Agree or Disagree buttons.

After fighting with this all weekend, I took the thing to work, plugged it into my new work Mac Mini and proceeded through the registration. I thought I was good, but when I plugged it back into my home computer, I get the same old problem. and I can't log in to iTunes using the ID I just created today, at work!

I just want to put some music on my iPod! What the hell do I do??

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

check your OS. A friend's ipod didn't work properly on her computer either and I think it was an OS problem.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

yes, but on the box, the nano's specs works with your new OS?

do you need to upgrade the nano's firmware?

I think I've done both of those. The new OS is right for sure, and the first time I plugged the iPod in, it did something with an update.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I have no idea what to do other than suggest a visit to the Applestore with the iMac and nano and cable in hand. It may just be that the iMac is too outmoded for these newfangled devices. :-(

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

You could try creating a new user account on the computer, and see if iTunes works better with that one.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So when is that thing happening that is happening today?
