'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I have no idea what to do other than suggest a visit to the Applestore with the iMac and nano and cable in hand. It may just be that the iMac is too outmoded for these newfangled devices. :-(

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

You could try creating a new user account on the computer, and see if iTunes works better with that one.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So when is that thing happening that is happening today?

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I tried to backup my iTunes last night and it said the file was too big for a CD and to put in a DVD. Well, I only have a CD-R drive... How the heck to I back up my stuff?

All is well that ends in pizza.

That's odd. What version is it?

I know iTunes 7 is supposed to ask for another CD. I don't know abut earlier versions.

You could use a standard CD burner program, like Nero or some such to span disks and just back up your library folder.

Art Crawl!!!

So, if I buy a used Tivo - I just get the machine and it will still work w/o the subscription to the tivo service, right?

I'll have to check the version when I get home. I think I am one update behind.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

There's very little you can do with a Tivo without the subscription. I think you can still use the instant replay - i.e., pause things and jump back for missed dialogue - but you can't record anything. (Vauge memories from trying to do this a few years ago for some reason or other).
