Ginger ... Have you tried switching your mouse to left-hand use?

Not Ginger, but I mouse left at work and right at home. Actually at home I have a touchpad, but I tend to use that with my right hand. I'm naturally right handed.

I find at work it actually increases my productivity since I do a lot of work on the number pad part of my keyboard, so my right hand can do the numbers and my left can mouse at the same time.

This was something suggested by my surgeon after I had my carpel tunnel surgery on my right hand. Was one of the best suggestions ever.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I switched to the goofy-mouse a couple years ago as I noticed my right hand was getting too tired and achey. It seems to spread it out.

Note that I can only mouse with my left (I do graphics and game play quite well) but I can't use trackpads or trackpoints to save my life!

One of the best aspects of left-mousing in an office environments is that it disinclines most coworkers from using your workstation. :-)

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I've gotten to the point where I'm more comfortable with a trackpad than anything else, but the trackpoint continues to strike me as the stupidest input idea in the history of computing.

Is that the nipple or clit looking thing in the middle of the keyboard?

Absolutely. I love the gobsmacked look someone gets when they try to use my set-up. When tech support takes over my computer long distance sometimes I'm nice and tell them the "right-mouse-click" and "left-mouse-click" are reversed. Usually depends on how condesending they have been with me.

That's the one. I've been calling it the "keyboard clitoris" for years, occasionally to the very wrongest audiences...

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

The mouse seems bigger when you use the opposite hand.

Maybe that explains Evil Jimi's left handed proclivities.

I have tried switching the mouse, but I am so very right handed and a lot of what I do is graphics. I never use the number pad.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I can't use a mouse left-handed for shit. But I can use a trackpad with either hand equally well.

Coding and Sleeping

I can switch mouse hands without any problem, but I don't change the buttons when I switch sides.
