omnis_audis, my iPhone battery is okay I think. I mean, if I just use it for the odd phone call, it lasts a good 5 days between charges. However, if I use it for email, music and web browsing I have to remember to charge it once a day otherwise I run it down pretty quick. I don't know why I'm moaning really - it's much better than a laptop battery, it's just a pain when I get the thing out and realise I haven't bothered to charge it.

Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
I had the same experience with two different models of Treo and an HTC Windows Mobile handset. If I used the data services throughout the day it would kill the battery by the end of the day. My iPhone is about the same. If I do constant video viewing on it, I can get about 7 hours out of the battery.
You just want to drool over my technology. I know how you are.
Drat, you know me too well.
iPhone commercial is on right now. They are everywhere. It's a sign!
I've never owned a phone that did internet etc that didn't need to be charged every night.
Mine's a 700p, and it freezes up constantly, usually while texting. If I try to run Google Maps, the entire phone shuts down instantly (which never used to happen, but has been the case for the past couple of months).
I'm at the point now where I have to restart it at least once a day. My sister has the same problems with her 680 (which is on a different network, just so we're not blaming Verizon). Palm is just an old rickety OS with stability issues.
Gadget girl,
I love my Nokia N95. So what do you want to do with your phone? The N95 is unlocked and works with t-mobile and att currently.
Incidentally, how well does Windows Mobile play with Macs? (I already have Missing Sync, if that makes a difference.)
My windows mobile phone sucked monkey balls. I had missing sync and all of that and the phone and the OS was just horrible.
I had the same experience with my Windows Mobile. I hated so much that I was happy when I accidently dropped it into a puddle.
Side note on those considering a Blackberry: they do not play nice with iCal etc., but the Blackberry Missing Sync has improved to the point that it's no longer a PITA to use.
