I need to get a new cell phone and am debating the pros/cons of various models. I've been drooling over the iPhone since the debut.
I'll probably have to give in to my techie/gadget fascination and get an iPhone. The worst part will mean shifting back to AT&T as a carrier. I don't know what I'd get otherwise.
Anyone have a recommendation on a good cell phone?
Whoever has the crashing Treo (sorry still browsing on the kindle in nowhere, LA and can't easily scroll back) are you using a 650 or what? Because my 680 has never crashed in 10 months, though my 650s were horrible... Maybe upgrading your Treo is the solution. And Tom, is there Missing Sync for Leopard? I can't stand iSync for Palms.
My treo 755p never crashes either.
i'm waffling between upgrading to the blackberry pearl or the treo 680. pros? cons?
So I'm beginning to see the treo, blackberry or iPhone as the logical replacement for my phone. I think all 3 will require changing carriers. Not a big deal, we just have to make sure the carrier signal can reach husbands job. (one of the reasons we left AT&T to start with)
You can play with my iPhone and check it out when I see you in January.
might be the solution...
Thanks ND. Have I mentioned lately that you are a great friend?
You just want to drool over my technology. I know how you are.
omnis_audis, my iPhone battery is okay I think. I mean, if I just use it for the odd phone call, it lasts a good 5 days between charges. However, if I use it for email, music and web browsing I have to remember to charge it once a day otherwise I run it down pretty quick. I don't know why I'm moaning really - it's much better than a laptop battery, it's just a pain when I get the thing out and realise I haven't bothered to charge it.
I had the same experience with two different models of Treo and an HTC Windows Mobile handset. If I used the data services throughout the day it would kill the battery by the end of the day. My iPhone is about the same. If I do constant video viewing on it, I can get about 7 hours out of the battery.
