This is the sort of thing that's probably a lot easier to do in a database program such as Access. OTOH there are a lot of people out there with good Excel skills who don't know Access....

Is it just one year that you're working with, MM? If so, you can use autofilter, and set the date column to only show rows greater than 1/31/2007 and less than 3/1/2007, and then subtotal.

MM, you could do IF THEN commands, but it is often easier and quicker to just add another column.

Does anybody have any recommendations for a good cordless phone? Our old ones were crapping out, and we replaced them with a Uniden phone/answering machine combo. From day one, this phone has performed like complete and utter crap. The handset has had terrible reception, and many times when we make or receive calls, the person on the other end is almost inaudible, especially if they are on certain kinds of business multi-line phones (the ones used in hospitals, in particular).
We need a new, good, cordless phone. Somebody please help.
