Does anybody have any recommendations for a good cordless phone? Our old ones were crapping out, and we replaced them with a Uniden phone/answering machine combo. From day one, this phone has performed like complete and utter crap. The handset has had terrible reception, and many times when we make or receive calls, the person on the other end is almost inaudible, especially if they are on certain kinds of business multi-line phones (the ones used in hospitals, in particular).
We need a new, good, cordless phone. Somebody please help.

We bought this [link] in January 2006, and it's been pretty much fine (they don't make that specific one anymore, but you could look at the brand). It's a little wonky when we're talking with my mother's cordless phone for some reason. But, you know, cheap. I used the ratings/comments at Amazon to choose.
