put the dock on the side to Tommy. You are not alone.
This may be impossible, but-
I apparently have 3 computers authorized to play my itunes music. One of them is a work computer at a former job, and the other is deader than a doornail at my house. Is there any way to rid myself of this?
You're allowed a total of five computers. I have a similar situation - I think they make you wait until you try to authorize a sixth computer before they give you the option to deauthorize one.
There is. You can deathorize all computers via your iTunes account and then authorize only the one you actually want authorized. I know I did it once and I should be able to figure out how...
Edited because I found it, and then some more because I cannot format, whee:
Note: You may only use this feature once per year. The Deauthorize All button will not appear if you have fewer than 5 authorized computers or if you have used this option within the last 12 months.
To deauthorize all computers associated with your account
1. Click iTunes Store in the Source pane.
2. If you're not signed in to the store, click the Account button, then enter your account name and password.
3. Click the Account button again (your ID appears on the button), enter your password, and then click View Account.
4. In the Account Information window, click Deauthorize All.
Thank you muchly!
My dock is on the side...always has been...are we firebrands or something?
It seems most practical, what with scrolly bars on the bottom (especially for audio editing) The left side of the screen gets used the least, as it's usually a margin. Bam. Dock goes there.
My dock is on the left side. I want Leopard, mostly for the under-the-hood stuff that is lusted over at the Ars Technica review [link] despite being "meh" on most of the interface stuff. Though Spaces is fun - I miss Virtual Desktops, but I'm not sure I'll use them what with Expose - I do hate that dock (even the on-the-side version) and the translucent menu bar.
However, I am only capable of using my computer right now by using some weird keyboard-hacking programs (otherwise, I have no ctrl or option key: a mistake made with a water bottle a few months ago means I must remap them) that I must make sure works before even considering upgrading the laptop. And besides, I'm strongly considering buying a Macbook as soon as they update them, so I may as well wait for that for my leopard fix.
I too use a left-side Dock -- I was surprised that there weren't any at Lifehacker.Org's Show Us Your Dock pictures.
