I've got the Belkin headphone extender. What are the bad reviews of it saying to use instead? Yeah, it's a bit long, but, um, isn't the other option to not have working headphones other than the crappy Apple ones?

there was talk of static, and too long, too ugly, blah blah blah.
What about carry case? cover? belt cover?
I had one of the silicone cases but it ended up stretching so I took it off. I'm actually looking for a new case now.
I've not had any static on my Belkin adapter. Once again, is there another option? I've not really looked too hard for other options.
that's what I thought, but wasn't sure. So best to avoid it then. Was it from squishing in and out of pocket?
I think it was just the day to day use that caused the case to loosen.
I'm leaning towards this for a carry case: [link] Based on iPod use, a hard shell carry case is just bulky and a waste.
Is there need for a screen protector film thingie?
I also have an ipod question-
I can't stand the earbuds. I have the in-ear ones [link] but I didn't really care for the original ones either, and they just keep popping out of my ears. Is there something special I am supposed to do? What I really want are giant earmuff headphones, but that seems silly for an ipod! Any suggestions?
I have the giant earmuff headphones and a tiny nano. It's silly but I can't work the earbuds either. (And they keep your ears warm in winter.)
I have these, which were pretty cheap and sound quite good. (I am definitely not an audiophile.) WTA linkyloo:
This is a stupid question, Sophia, but have you switched out the caps on your earphones and tried all three sizes?
