If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I was only looking for DSL, but when I pressed them on that they said either. WTF is right.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I'm pretty sure they're required by law to give you regular telephone service.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm pretty sure they're required by law to give you regular telephone service.

Yeah, for 911 if nothing else.

Found a different number and am hopeful that the agent I'm talking to now isn't a fucking moron like the last one...

Just in time for Halloween: I got a rock.

Dude, that Tshirt is pretty cool.

OK, anyone got old school CRT monitor help? New job today, and sitting at the old clunky monitor was starting to give me a migraine, because of the way it was flashing/refreshing/whatever. It was like it was pulsating or flickering. What can I do about this?? Anything? (Besides ask for a new monitor) Buttons to push, settings to control, screen thing to buy to put over it? I swear, if I have to look at this thing every day like this, I may not last long in this job. (which I'll tell them if I have to, but...)

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Try bumping up the refresh rate to 75Hz or more. Start->Settings->Control Panel->Display, then go to the Settings tab, click the Advanced button, and go to the Monitor tab.

Or something like that.

Awesome, I shall try that tomorrow. If it doesn't work, I may have to be the whiny complainer who's all "I need a new monitor!" on her second day. Gah.

Of course, considering the admin was complaining all day because her monitor was not working AT ALL and was getting no traction with the help desk guy....well....we'll see.

I'd also love to have a normal keyboard. You can TELL me that I"ll love the split keyboard, but when I type 100 wpm, it just throws me off, man.
