Some good news for us early iPhone buyers: [link]
Buffistechnology 3: "Press Some Buttons, See What Happens."
Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
Huh.
Good on them. Also, good idea to nip this issue in the bud (and turn it into a P.R. positive).
I knew when I bought my new Nano last month that there was likely a new line of iPods coming soon, but I didn't think there would be such a price drop. The new 8G Nanos are Cdn $80 cheaper than the old ones. Damn me and my bad timing!
Still have the receipt? Can you return it?
I'm actually impressed by the iPhone thing - good decision on their part and males me love them even more.
Does anyone know: If you go to Amazon through an affiliate link, but just put an item on your wish-list, does it retain the affiliate information for when you decide to buy?
I don't know, but if you find out, please share!
Still have the receipt? Can you return it?
I do have the receipt somewhere, but I don't think I can return it. It's been a little over a month. Maybe if I complain to Apple like all the iPhone users, I'll get a partial refund too.
ita, I'm pretty sure it does NOT keep the affiliate link. But if you find out differently, let me know.
Their FAQ said it would still be an affiliate person if the buyer came back later that day--maybe it's a cookie thing, which doesn't bode well for it being something encoded in the URL that you can hit up from another computer.
Hrm. I'll keep an eye on my URL as I break my Amazon ban yet again.
My interim research indicates that Amazon's search function is capricious and moody, since I'm having a bitch of a time getting to the shoes without going through my wishlist.
Did I say shoes? I'm not buying shoes. Ignore that.
eta: Ah, fuck. The URLs are unintelligible. Maybe I'll buy straight from the wishlist and ask Jesse if she sees activity.
