We have the roku stick and the only problem we have had is it occasionally overheats and needs to be unplugged for a few minutes and then it reboots.

I'm about to trash my office computer and going back to ... something. We had a forced "upgrade" Monday (I think). My computer is now running about half speed and every time I try to do something in any program after a pause, the screen bounces up and down. Every time. When I'm trying to use File Explorer (I think that's what it's called these days), it keeps dumping me to the wrong directory so it's taking a lot longer to actually find the right directory and file. I keep clicking on the wrong one because it's bounced up/down and dumped me at the wrong one.
We're now going to MS Teams ... this is, I believe, our THIRD sharing/collaborating/whatever feature in the office. And it's not working. At least not working right. I received six emails saying I'd missed a call - all from the same number - and to check for voicemails. There were no voicemails.
I wanted to leave a greeting, since I won't be able to get into the office next week. MAYBE next Friday - my office is right in the middle of things, so there's no surface transportation (bus, cab, Uber, Lyft ... although the skateboarders seem to be able to get by), they closing all rail stations in the area Saturday. So I thought it would be nice to leave a message letting people know why no one's answering the phone.
I'm trying to get some work done and the only suggestion is to hand the computer over to our new tech support people - for an indefinite period - to see if they can fix it. arrggghhhhh
So I got a new phone, a Moto 8 Power, and although I've gotten most stuff set up, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to set this one thing up:
I want the phone to silence notifications while I am on a phone call. This should not be complicated! And yet, I'll be on a call, and suddenly I'll get a series of audible notifications from a text string, and it's terribly embarrassing.
I have searched and searched the Motorola and Android 10 help sites, and can't seem to find anything anywhere: it looks like I have to manually put the phone on Do Not Disturb every time I'm on a call? This is nuts!
Consuela, insent.
Could you share the answer here for others who may need to know?
Still haven't solved it, at least not for my phone. I was on calls most of today, and just hit DoNotDisturb when I got on my first call.
I am not loving a lot of the changes in Android 10: notifications in particular are a LOT more complicated.
javachik, there is a toggle for it in the settings section of the Phone app (which is not the same thing as the Settings app of the device itself).
My Samsung has it. Consuela's Motorola does not.
Ah! Gotcha. Thanks!
Hi all!
It has been a while, but I came to ask for advice on storage. For many years I have been basically doing simple backups. However, I have been getting paranoid that I need some sort of raided central servers my home for all my devices. I find my experiences with the tech to be a bit out of date.
Unfortunately, I am also sitting here at home working for $12/hour (with a lot less stress and better medical).
Any suggestions for a basic nas/raid/etc. would be appreciated.
