I upgraded my computer to 10 quite awhile ago and never had any troubles. OTOH, I don't use Windows very much. Mostly I use Windows when I'm fixing other people's computers.

I think upgrading is probably a good idea, but don't do the express settings so you can turn off all the stuff you want turned off.

Actually, I figured out how to do pretty the last thing I needed Windows for so now it's there to read XPS files if I run into one. If I figure that out, maybe I'll make my desktop computer Linux only like my laptop. Linux is a lot easier to deal with.

The problem with Linux for me is that I still have not found a word proccesor I like as much as MS Word XP. None of the Open Office variants for sure - bloated and sluggish and buggy.

I feel like LibreOffice has made great strides since forking off from OpenOffice, but MS Word has always been more polished. I'm using LibreOffice 5.1 and it seems to work pretty well. I also use the Windows version of Scrivener on Linux which looks dated but seems to work okay.

Anybody know how to use Photoshop? I'm putting together an online class, and I've got some banners for section headings, but I need a couple of headings that I don't have. The person who made the banners sent me the Photoshop file, but I've just got GIMP on my computer and I don't really know how to use it too well, yet. I can figure out how to delete the layer that has the text, but I can't figure out how to just change the text that's there. This will probably take about five minutes for someone who actually knows what they're doing. Can anyone help?
