Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Anyone need a 10.6.8 (Snow Lion) disk? I have a spare. Family didn't communicate well...

Due to a strange occurrence, yes. Do you actually have one still, sarameg? I realize your post was weeks ago.

Nephlet is now 18 and got his old computer back. But we age-restricted that thing like crazy and no one knows the password.

Can't help myself:

There's Snow Leopard and there's Mountain Lion but there's no "Snow Lion".

John, that sort of detail and inability to keep quiet is....so very Buffista. :)

I did invent this thread after all. Or someone similar to me did, many years ago.

Ha. I was just paying attention to the numbers because I cannot keep all of the cats organized and properly stacked.

You'd think *I* could keep my cats straight...

It puzzles the hell out of my why Apple maintains a system of numbered operating systems and a matching system of named operating systems, but refuses to tell owners of Apple computers what the name is.

I go "about this Mac" and I can clearly see I'm using 10.8.5. I don't know what the name of that is. I have to go to Wikipedia to find out.

Is it because of Internationalisation? Is Snow Leopard called "Escargot de Niege" in French? I"m baffled.
