I was startled with how fast Staples shipped for free. And Staples was the shipper.
Not to lemon in paper cut, just actually startled when the guy showed up.

Okay okay! I generally get impressed with business to business businesses because they get the whole need-it-now thing. But no go so far. I mean, it could be fine. I just feel dubious.
If it was shipped USPS, it sometimes doesn't show until after it arrives.
Shouldn't have been. If it was, it won't get to me; the United states postal service refuses to deliver to me.
Intel's Awesome NUC PC Starter Kits Are On Sale Today
If you're looking for a super-compact PC with an abundance of power, but don't want to build it all from scratch, Intel's Next Unit of Computing boxes might be just what you're looking for. Today on Amazon, the Intel Core i3 and Core i5 models are marked down to some of their lowest prices ever.P
The i3 NUC is only $266 today, and the i5 model is selling for $330, or about $50 off the typical asking price.
...
The kits come complete with motherboard, case, processor, and Wi-Fi antennas, but you'll have to add a mSATA SSD, power cord, wireless card (unless you're going to use strictly ethernet exclusively), RAM, and your input devices. Still, once you've built out your machine, you'll have a fully-functioning Intel PC with a 4" x 4" footprint.
I totally want a a fully-functioning Intel PC with a 4" x 4" footprint. I just can't think what I'd use it for.
So, you have to add a SSD, a Wifi card, RAM and all peripherals, huh?
Hmmm.
FINALLY got the shipment notice so I guess I'll get it tomorrow. Thankgoodness I stumped up for the overnight shipping or I wouldn't see it until next week. Oh well, tomorrow still lets me take the old one to the recycler when I go on Saturday.
Oooh, I checked my tracking info and that caused the fedex truck to pull up in front of my door!
Man, I always forget how long these setups take. Now admittedly I did dismantle my entire media closet and rearranged all my routers, installed my new UPS, and reset my RAID array in order to accommodate the new (much larger) printer. But it looks pretty slick so far. Next up to get it to acknowledge that I have envelopes in drawer one and paper in drawer two (oh, sweet time-saver how I love thee) and to try out the photo paper prints. Which involves going through the whole driver rigamarole over on the mac.
