So, I've heard good things about Zombies, Run!, but I don't have an iPhone. Does anyone know if it would be safe to run with an ipad mini (first generation)? Or will it do bad things to the...stuff? Memory? Other things?

I kind of doubt it would work with an iPad, even a mini, because it needs the accelerometer to work. OTOH, if it works on the iPad, you could just listen to the story while exercising. Up to you. But check the website, or email them: they're pretty responsive.
It's one of their FAQs, and they say that it's not tested for tablets, but that people have successfully used it.
I can't imagine it would hurt the iPad unless you fell on it.
Yeah, I determined that it does not have a spinny hard drive, and the presence of the accelerometer would seem to indicate that it's okay.

Does anyone know of a source for buying out of date prepackaged software? We are looking for a version of particular biotech software from 2000, and it's not on ebay or Amazon, so I thought I would turn to the hivemind.
