The Roku version has never given me a problem, so I can't say. The Kindle Fire app was fine too, back when I had one. The complete lack of a regular Android Amazon Videos app has kept me from trying it on my newer (Barnes and Noble) tablet.

I wonder if they make the iPad version suck on purpose for a similar reason to why they don't offer a regular Android version - to get you to buy a Kindle Fire. If so, they're crazy, but I've not found Amazon to always make sense.

Yeah, if that's the case it's going to backfire on them. Betas is addictive in a trashy kind of way, but it's no Orange is the New Black.

I've watched a number of episodes of Deep Space Nine via Amazon Prime Streaming on two models of iPad over WiFi without a hitch.

I've been watching Alpha House streaming from the Amazon Instant Video app on my iPad to the Apple TV with no problems.

Hm, maybe it's my wifi then. Weird that Amazon is the only app it seems to be affecting.

I have the strangest problem. Ever since I got my phone back in April, on which I use Google Voice, I've noticed that I have issues receiving GV text notifications (and occasionally sending text messages) when I'm on my home wifi. I also have consistently had problems accessing Youtube using the Youtube app (not the website!) on my phone, again, only on my home wifi. Both apps work perfectly on my school's wifi, my parents' wifi, and on LTE/3g.

I did a factory reset of my router a few months ago, which seemed to fix it for a while, but it's back now. And sometimes if i switch the channel my WLAN is using it improves for a while, but it always reverts.

Only on my phone, and only on my home wifi. Meg's iPhone has no problem, and I haven't noticed issues with the Youtube app on my Android tablet either, though it sometimes loses the whole wifi connection randomly.

I know my router sucks (a new one is on my wish list) but this is such an odd problem that I don't even know where to start in diagnosing it. Why would just these things be broken, and only at home? I don't have any weird firewalls or anything set up on the router. Any ideas, people who understand networking better than I do?
