Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Is the $10/month the cellular fee? Because that's on top of the list price anyway, so it would be a win.

Does anyone know for sure that the full range of KitKat features will be limited forevermore to the Nexus 5?

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I thought U-verse had wireless TV now.

I'm going to try calling them again. One reason I came to the hivemind is that I was having trouble getting hold of anyone.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Yeah, $10/month is the data plan. But am I reading the online specs right that the Tab 7 only comes in 8GB? In which case it had better have a great data plan, 'cause I won't be able to store anything on it.

It's not the one with micro SD?

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Jessica, it doesn't seem much of a deal to me.

Microcenter has refurbs with the card slot for a lot less: [link]

Best Buy has new 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3's with 16GB for $60 more: [link]

Oh, I didn't know there was a 16GB model. Maybe I'll stop by the store tomorrow and look at one, just to see. I do love 7" tablets.

[eta: And I think they all have micro SD slots. That does make a difference.]

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Just bought my husband a Kindle. Now he won't steal mine all the time!

But she still has to pay for cellular service...are you saying she'd somehow pay less with a Microcenter model? I'm confused.

Hey. New board.

I am playing with the Halo feature of Paranoid Android, which is a notification system that allows you to pop up notifying apps in a floating window on top of your current app. It is one of the neatest things I have seen on a custom Rom. I just responded to an email as I wrote this without having to switch out and back. I know several SMS apps have a quick reply option but this enables that sort of thing for any app. Really cool. I know a lot of the Androidphiles on this board are not custom Rom types but it is pretty amazing and may be coming. I think it was inspired by Facebook Home of all things.

Coding and Sleeping

I'd say it all comes down to how important cellular service is. If you don't care about it, you can get a very cool second gen Nexus 7 for less money. Or some other 7" tablets for a lot less money (from ASUS and Lenovo and, you know, brands you've heard of). My 10" tablet cost $250 so it's right there if you want something bigger.
