I'm using the new feedly cloud reader (not the Chrome extension, but [link] on my laptop and gReader (an Android app that used to sync with Google Reader but now syncs with feedly) on my phone. It seems to be an acceptable system. The feedly cloud reader is less finicky than the extension was for me, but the interface still bugs me occasionally. However, I was already in love with gReader and do most of my RSS reading on the phone.

Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
I'm not sure I knew they even had a website. The only way I was able to access Feedly on Chrome was via the Chrome app.
I've been using Feedly via the Chrome extension and it has been working fine. Of course, I don't need it to sync with anything.
I like it a lot better than Google Reader.
tommy,
if you do most of your RSS reading on the ipad, I would recommend two apps: Flipboard or Reeder.
I love love love love love Flipboard. And it has other uses (like creating your own magazine and sharing it with friends), following other topics and RSS feeds. Seeing your twitter feed, tumblr, etc.
Jessica, the cloud reader was released just a few days ago.
Old reader is OK, but has minor bugs. The scroll bar sort of semi-disappears and gets hard to grab. Not quite as bad as actual reader with the disappearing scrollbar but almost. Also the scroll bar tends to hit bottom with more stuff to scroll. Then you hit the "next" button on the old reader post, and that makes the rest of the scrollbar appear. I think part of it is that I have my windows font set too big. They warn you in the windos 7 settings that the extra-large font setting can cause problems, but with my eyes on balance it is better.
Just installed Feedly (website) so far so good. I'll try the extension.
Sticking to website. No advantage for me in chrome extension.
I know we've discussed Google Reader alternatives before, but do folks have opinions on alternatives after using them for a while?
If you have server space, I've liked Tiny Tiny RSS.
Anyone else use Accuweather for iOS?
It's been giving me a download error for a couple days. Wondering if anyone else uses it and has had a problem before I contact them.
I actually have really liked the app and they have a paid one that I would be tempted to buy if I knew why the free one was suddenly having issues. I did delete the app and redownload it but I'm not actually sure if that was a real reinstall or not.
