Look, you got a little stabbed the other day. That's bound to make anyone a mite ornery.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Gris, thank you!! The Good Vibrations app totally worked. The default is to vibrate for all contacts, and now, hell, I can even set different vibrations for people if I want to. Thanks!! I really didn't want to switch to another messaging app because that's annoying.

Hey. New board.

Does the stock messaging app have a pop up quick reply now? That was the main reason I used go SMS in the past.

No, you still go to the app to reply.

Hey. New board.

Ah. You might want to give go SMS a try anyway then. Trust me the quick reply is a pretty awesome feature. I finally found a client that offers it for Google voice texts and I'm in love.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Hey--anyone have a LAMP host to recommend? B.org needs a new home. How much does unlimited cost these days?

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Is there a free Microsoft Publisher program that I can dl and then access a document made with it with the official Publisher? I clicked a link that said it was free, and then it asked me for a registry key, so I don't know what the heck is going on.

I want to make a mock up of a brochure, but might need to do it at home. Just a simple three fold on a standard 8.5x11 that I edit further at work.

Hey. New board.

A quick search for "opensource page layout" found this: [link] and apparently they have a new publisher importer as of May 22. Probably not a complete solution but might do what you need. I may need to check it out myself!

Karma is a cat, sleeping in my lap cuz it loves me. ~TS

Any CSS experts around? I'm trying to optimize a site for mobile, and I just realized that my @media calls aren't working in IE8. Google tells me IE8 doesn't support @media--of course--but even the javascript file I found that's supposed to fix that (css3-mediaqueries.js) isn't helping. Does anyone know of any other possible fixes before I have to resort to an IE specific stylesheet?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Using <!--[if IE 8]> is actually less kludgy than the alternatives.

Phoo, I was afraid of that. I hate maintaining the same data in multiple places.

ETA: Thanks!
