Does the mini have a significantly different set of applications available for it?
It is functionally identical to an iPad 2. The processor is the same and the screen runs at the same resolution just with a high pixel density due to the smaller screen.
Well, I'm uber-perplexed by the problems Toddson is having, then. What would be the cause for her seeing limited apps?
argh ...well, I guess setting up a different iPad would be easier the second time. Comparable to installing Windows, right?
Is Settings -> General -> Restrictions turned on?
If the iPad is backed up to iCloud or to a computer then it's quite simple setting up a new iPad. You plug it in or connect it to iCloud, and it will do it's thing and restore everything from the old iPad.
If there was enough to restore from the old iPad, would she need so badly to get a new one?
I think he's saying that if my new (and only one ever) iPad is defective, the apps I've managed to download would be backed up, so if I got one that's good, I could restore them.
I hadn't thought you'd managed to get that much on it. Congrats!
I find Safari a pretty unusable browser. I tend to keep two or three open, but three times as many windows open in Opera. Opera has its issues, but Safari just told me it had to reload all 9 open windows because I backed up in my browser history on one of them, and well--not "just". It's been going for more than five minutes right now and all the windows are blank. It could never be my primary browser just based on the request to reload, but NOTHING IS HAPPENING.
