Right, there comes a point where you have to either move on, or just buy yourself a Klingon costume and go with it.

Cheers.

A couple of years would be fine with me.

Given the things our fucking phones can do....is it really that challenging?

You might be surprised. I haven't dug into the conflict resolution code personally, but I'd imagine it's pretty hairy stuff. DVR (or at least Set-top-box which is more my area) hardware is also pretty low-spec stuff to keep costs contained.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Where does the bulk of the spend come from in building a DVR?

I'm not sure. I'm not involved on the hardware side of things, but I know there aren't a lot of memory and compute resources.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

We can get men on the moon with the computing power of a calculator but can't have a dvr realize that The Colbert Report reairs a lot?

Mine already looks for shows across multiple channels and times. Actually I think this TimeWarner box doesn't. Comcast did though.

I'm fed up with iPad Calendar app not working right. What apps do folks use for calendar that isn't the Apple one? I have iCloud calendars and Exchange calendars that I need sync'd.

Agenda is my fave cal for the ipad.

But I use google calendar for all my calendar needs.

it has great potential. But says "by using the local IOS calendar app". So I sent a note to the developer asking, if I am having issues with sync with my local iOS app, will I have issues with your app too? We shall see! Thanks for the rec!

Anyone want to help me figure out which Kindle I want to get? I've finally decided that having something slightly larger than my iPhone, but smaller than the iPad (so I can put it in my purse and have all the books with me) is a necessity.

I don't care about multimedia capabilities, which is why I'm not looking at the Fire. But I don't know if I want the basic Kindle, or a Paperwhite.
