here s what it says:
Minimum Requirements:
CPU : Intel P4/NetBurst Architecture or its AMD Equivalent (AMD K7)
RAM : 2GB
GPU : Intel GMA 950 or AMD Equivalent
HDD : At least 90MB for Game Core and Sound Files
Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 or up is required to be able to run the game.
here is what my properties say:
Mobile AMD Sempron
Processor 3000+
1.80 GHz, 896 MB of RAM
ok - so the RAM is nowhere near enough, right?
Here is what happens - we were able to download it, we have minecraft.exe on the desktop, we double click it and get a screen to logon - logon on a second window opens shows a quick download, like a blink and then the window just stays black.
the RAM is nowhere near enough, right?
Correct.
Also might need to check what version of Java is installed, update as necessary.
it actually prompted to update java when doing the download, so I think that is ok.
OK, so if it won't run, but I have paid for it - anyone know if I can try downloading it on a different machine.
You can use it on a different machine.
thank you. I guess I am going to be looking at getting a newer PC soon. bah.
I mean, hey anyone looking to get rid of a working but older laptop to be used mainly for games and internet?
My son and daughter have bother recently really gotten into minecraft too. Maybe I should set up a minecraft server for B.org offspring.
Heh. My youngest son is really into minecraft as well.
I'm going to get him a minecraft hoodie for x-mas. I think Think Geek has them.
Casper has heard a lot about minecraft from kids at school. They've filked Gangnam Style to it: "Heeeeey, sexy creeper."
(Two kids also filked "1776" to "Call Me Maybe." "All the other colonies, think we're craaazy...")
I have no idea what mine craft is but I would totally love the colonial call me maybe!
